DC x HDC x ISDI Qualifier Nigeria
The DC × HDC × ISDI Qualifier Nigeria is an online World Schools Debate competition giving students in Nigeria and beyond the opportunity to compete at an international level and pursue a pathway into the global debate circuit.
Competition Overview
The DC × HDC × ISDI Qualifier Nigeria is an online World Schools Debate competition hosted by DebateChamps in collaboration with the Harvard Debate Council (HDC) and the International Speech & Debate Initiative (ISDI).
Taking place 28–29 November 2026, the competition allows students to participate from anywhere, removing the need for travel. It is open to international participants, with teams competing in the World Schools Debate format. Teams consist of 3–5 students.
The competition provides students with the opportunity to test their debating skills against other students in a high-level competitive environment while developing argumentation, critical thinking, research, teamwork and public speaking skills.
As part of the wider ISDI ecosystem, the competition also connects students to an international speech and debate circuit designed to expand access to high-level competitions and global debate opportunities.
